FAQ on obtaining NAG Membership

01. Who can become a member?
A. Only released Jet Airways (I) Ltd. pilots are eligible for NAG membership as of now.

02. Can pilots still on probation join?
A. Any released Jet Airways (I) Ltd. pilot can join. Probationers will be covered as explained in point 08. They will be not be required to follow directives that might result in management taking action against them till they receive their confirmation letter.

03. How do I apply?
A. You need to fill in the following downloadable forms (just click on the form name) and send/submit them to the NAG office (address given at bottom of the page) along with the documents listed:

a. NAG Membership cum Nomination Form
b. One recent passport-sized photograph
c. A single Bank Auto Debit Form has to be filled up, and is available at NAG office, which will be couriered to you with a self addressed envelope. Please Contact office for query, if any.
d. A cheque/DD in favour of "National Aviators Guild" for the requisite amount.

04. Are the ECS mandates applicable for all banks?

A. The accounts for deduction of Annual Membership Fees and Welfare contributions can be from any major bank.

05. How much do I need to pay?
A. The requisite amount is a total of:
a. The current annual membership fees plus
b. Total of all the contributions made by existing members till date of application during the current financial year.

06. Is there any other mode of payment?
A. You can also make an online transfer. This is only for the initial payment of the joining fees (as explained in point 5). Thereafter all collections/payments will have to mandatorily be made through two ECS mandates in favor of NAG - one for the collection of the annual membership fees and the other for making welfare contributions as and when required.

07. From which date is my membership active?
A. Your membership becomes active from the date of realization of all dues AND on submission of all documents. You have a 15 days window to submit all documents if payment is made through an online transfer.

08. From when am I accorded full privileges of NAG membership?
A. You are provided non-monetary protection by NAG from the date of activation of your membership.
